On Saturday January 21st, on Trump’s first day in office as the President of the United States, I delivered a speech to the largest crowd I have ever spoken to.
An estimated 50 thousand individuals participated in the largest national one-day protest in American history, which included the Women’s March on Austin. I had the great honor to meet some extraordinary individuals, including a notable slam poet by the name of Joaquin Zihuatanejo, our champion state representative Lloyd Doggett, and the much-beloved women’s rights icon Wendy Davis, among many others. I had the pleasure of meeting the organizers of the event, as well, along with the much-talented musicians that performed.
This event was one of the greatest honors I have had in my life so far. Not only did I make my voice heard and my stance clear, but I am now more motivated than ever to do as much as I can for this movement. Like I told everyone that commended me for speaking, I’m just getting started.
